In 1992, following the Sesquicentennial Celebration, earlier contents placed and buried in a metal box at the time of the
Centennial Celebration in 1941 were removed for preservation.  At a special ceremony during the June 7, 1992 Homecoming and Historical Marker dedication, the artifacts and additional memorabilia were then placed in the vacuum packed vault and encased in concrete at the base of Prewitt's marker.  The time capsule is to be re-opened in the year 2041, the Bicentennial of the establishment of the church and the cemetery.
